Biometric Information Privacy Policy
Last updated August 27, 2026
Seva Senior Services (“Seva,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to handling biometric identifiers and biometric information responsibly. This policy explains what biometric data we may collect, why, how it is protected, and when it is destroyed.
What this covers
Some of our time and attendance systems, including the electronic visit verification (“EVV”) that Georgia Medicaid requires for personal care and structured family caregiving visits, use a fingerprint scan or voiceprint to confirm the identity of a caregiver clocking in and out of a shift or visit. This policy covers that kind of biometric data.
Your consent
Before we collect any biometric data, we tell the individual in writing what is being collected, why, and for how long, and we get a signed written release first. We never collect biometric data without that consent.
How we protect it
We store biometric data securely, limit access to the employees and vendors who need it to run our time and attendance systems, and never sell, lease, or profit from it. We only share it if the individual consents, it completes a transaction they requested, the law requires it, or a valid court order requires it.
When we destroy it
We permanently destroy biometric data as soon as its purpose is met, or within three years of the person’s last interaction with us, whichever comes first.
